Arrival in Addis Ababa & City Tour
Upon arrival at Bole International Airport, our team will meet you and transfer you to your hotel. After check-in and a short rest, begin a guided city tour of Addis Ababa. Visit the National Museum, home of “Lucy,” Mount Entoto for panoramic city views, Holy Trinity Cathedral, and Merkato, Africa’s largest open-air market.

Addis Ababa – Arba Minch
After breakfast, depart for Arba Minch through Ethiopia’s scenic Rift Valley. Along the way, pass through Butajira, Werabe, Alaba, and Sodo, each offering a glimpse into local life, landscapes, and southern Ethiopian culture.

Arba Minch – Konso – Jinka
Start the day with a drive to Konso, a UNESCO World Heritage cultural landscape known for its terraced farming, fortified villages, and traditional way of life. After lunch, continue toward Jinka, crossing the Weito River and passing through areas inhabited by the Tsemay, Bena, and Ari communities.

Jinka – Mursi Village – Turmi
Travel through Mago National Park to visit a Mursi village. The Mursi are well known for their distinctive clay lip plates, cattle-based lifestyle, and traditional body decoration. After the visit, drive to Turmi through Keyafer and Dimeka. On market days, enjoy a colorful local market experience.

Turmi – Omorate – Turmi
In the morning, drive to Omorate, home of the Dassanech tribe near the Kenyan border. Cross the Omo River by traditional boat to visit a Dassanech village and learn about their culture, beadwork, hairstyles, and daily life. Return to Turmi in the afternoon and visit a Hamer village. If available, witness the Bull Jumping Ceremony, an important rite of passage for Hamer boys.

Karo Tribe Excursion
After breakfast, drive to Korcho village, located on a beautiful viewpoint overlooking the Omo River. Visit the Karo tribe, known for elaborate body painting using natural clay pigments and symbolic designs. Return to Turmi in the afternoon, with possible visits to nearby Hamer villages or the Monday market if timing allows.

Turmi – Keyafer – Konso – Arba Minch
Begin the journey back toward Arba Minch. Stop at Keyafer if it is market day, where different communities gather to trade goods and socialize. Continue through Konso before reaching Arba Minch for the evening.

Arba Minch – Dorze Village – Hawassa
Visit Dorze village in the morning, known for its unique elephant-shaped houses, traditional weaving, farming practices, and rich cultural identity. After the visit, continue to Hawassa, a scenic lakeside city. In the afternoon, enjoy Lake Hawassa, birdlife, monkeys, and a boat ride to view hippos up close.

Hawassa – Addis Ababa
After a relaxing morning, visit the Hawassa Fish Market, where locals gather for fresh fish and birds gather along the lakeshore. Then begin the return drive to Addis Ababa through the Rift Valley. Upon arrival, you may have time for final shopping or an optional cultural dinner. Highlights: Hawassa Fish Market, Rift Valley drive, return to Addis Ababa
